After having decided that I would have a corgi and no other, and after having called a couple of breeders in Colorado that would not talk to me, I perused the local newspaper and found an ad. I called the lady with shaking hands and she said I have 7 puppies, 6 red and white girls and 1 tri-colored boy (who she thought was the cutest) I said he is mine. She said come next Saturday, they will be seven weeks old and I am moving and need them in new homes as soon as possible. I said I will be there and had a friend take me to Heber, Utah, and I brought you home on July 11, 1998.
You did not like that car ride, I remember. However when I set your carrier down in my bedroom that evening you popped out and said “Woof,” it was the first woof that I had heard from you. Of course, in my opinion, you were the cutest thing that had ever been born. You were a 5 pound fur ball with very sharp teeth. I was your favorite chew toy, I have little scars on my arms to prove it. Remember that day you got my nose and made it bleed. You might need to apologize for that, OK I forgive.
Your second favorite toy was Mr. Bear; my Teddy Bear, the one I slept with that was bigger than you, however it became yours and was yours for the whole time you were with me. It remains with me now and makes my cry when I see him in your empty crate. Your third favorite toy was the BALL - you were obsessed with the BALL. I got the BALL in my shower every morning and played BALL with you every day, a little every morning and much more in the evening. I think you conned the people at daycare (or anyone else for that matter) to play BALL with you whenever you could. Now then, back to your chewing and pant leg latching onto, you were firmly attached to my pant leg for at least 3 years, if not a little longer, I do believe you ripped a couple pair of my good work pants and managed to rip blue jeans. You were tough! Remember how you use to pull my socks off for me? Thanks so much! Then the one special day when I was doing housework and it was just too quiet and I found you on the bed having just made a really big hole in my mattress!! You were so proud of yourself that I haven’t stopped laughing about that ever since. Then do you remember we were at Uncle Terry’s house and all of us were outside on the balcony and low and behold where was Murphy?? Of course on top of the dining room table where the leftover pizza was. You saw me coming and gulped down as much as you could. Proud doggie. I could go on, on, and on, because I have almost 10 years filled with memories that continue and will forever flood my heart.

Those are just a few of my fondest memories; we walked the neighborhood for many miles and made many new friends along the way. Remember the little coffee shop on Center Street owned by Chris whose doggie is named Sister? She is named Sister because Chris found her abandoned by the Temple Grounds. I had to tell Chris just the other night about you and we both cried and cried. You were loved so very much. Your neighborhood doggie friends Sister, Shadow and Delta miss you very much. Also all your doggie friends and people friends from Diggity Dog Daycare miss you also. The place will never be the same without you.

Uncle Terry, Uncle Michael, Uncle Kent, Aunt Judy, Aunt Marlene, Aunt Jodi, Aunt Connie, Uncle Bob and Aunt Phyllis miss you very much. Your Aunt Kathy, Aunt Erin and Uncle Dana have helped me thru this difficult time and when we bring home your ashes we will get together and pray for you, and especially for me, because I miss you so very much. Please watch over me and be my Guardian Angel until the day we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.

P.S. I have had many cards and flowers, kind words and wishes from a great many people; I will be eternally grateful to everyone who has helped me through this difficult time in my life.
